liberate, 2017 – トキハナツ

  • 23′(w) x 17′(h) x 30′(d) (a site-specific installation at Kanente Storehouse in Nakanojo-town, which is a main town of Nakanojo Biennale 2018, Gunma, Japan)
  • September 2017. Kanente Storehouse in Nakanojo-town, Gunma, Japan
  • Programmed random rhythm of water pump and haze-machine by artist
  • Bamboo, briquette ash, rice straw, Arduino, light-bulb, haze machine, oil-based haze liquid, used Pet bottle, wire, tube, ventilating fun, PVC pipe, tinplate, wood, LED light, direct sunlight, Kanente Storehouse, rain water collected from the roof, noise from the surrounding area.

Weaving the flowing time with minor natural phenomena in the space, I seek “beauty” from ephemeral life.

The audience remembers the experience through the process of interpreting my installation. I hope my audience has a chance to think about “the meaning of being” through my art.
